  • Spaghetti sauce?

    I am making the eggplant lasagna tonight and it calls for spaghetti sauce I looked at jut about every jar at the store and they were all way to many carbs so I want to make my own. Anyone have a recipe I could use? It would be greatly appreciated!

    I've started to make my own semi-homemade sauce by using canned tomato sauce with no added sugars as a base. I don't eat sauce very often so I don't make my own from scratch (like using fresh tomatoes, etc.) Hunts canned tomato sauce has only 2g per 1/4c. serving, which is quite good! To this I add minced garlic, fresh basil and oregano, and heat. You could also add ground beef or sausage.

      thank you I think I will just give it a go and hope it turns out! LOL Ive done that a lot lately and found im a pretty good cook!
