This is the only craving I have had so far. I bought some jicama today and I have rutabaga or cauliflower. Has anyone made anything similar to tater tots out of these? I've seen mock hashbrown recipes. I'm thinking of trying to make a tater tot casserole of some sort. Maybe just making hashbrowns would work as well. Similar texture and taste.

Since my family is eating potatoes and such is it ok to use the same oil to fry my stuff in AFTER I've done theirs? I have a fryer so I didn't want to use special oil for me but if the carbs leak into the oil I'd definitely use my own.
I don't know if that's a stupid ? or not just something that I've been wondering about.
