I have a beautiful head of cabbage and 2 pounds of lean ground chuck. Any suggestions? It's cold and rainy and I feel like cookin'! Thanks and love to all!

Cabbage + ground meat = cabbage rolls.

I do a lazy-man's version of the cabbage roll: I make a cabbage casserole.

Basically, you chop your cabbage fine, like you're making coleslaw. Chop a onion in it too. Put half of it in the bottom of a baking dish. Then you take you meat and add salt, pepper, herbs and spices of your choice and egg if you want. Cover the cabbage layer with the meat mixture. Cover that with the remaining cabbage. Sprinkle the top with salt and pepper. Bake.
