  • Need Help with this recipe...

    I found an old recipe of my Mothers for sour cream muffins that I have been playing around with. This is the best one I have come up with so far:

    Dry Ingredients:
    4 TBS Flax Meal
    3/4 cup ground pecans
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt

    Wet ingredients:
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 egg 2 TBS melted butter(no salt)
    3 TBS Davinci vanilla syrup

    Mix wet ingredients in one bowl, mix dry ingredients in another.
    Add together and stir until combined. Kinda had the consistancy of pancake batter.
    I used a 6 muffin tin sprayed with Pam. Baked at 350 for 21 mins.

    They came out pretty good, but if anyone has any suggestions on how to make them better, I would appreciate the :help . Thanks

    You might want to post the original recipe and then folks could give you good substitution ideas, its kinda hard to know what to tell you if we don't know what it called for originally.

      The only differences are replaced 1 1/2 cups flour with flax/pecan mix
      replaced 1/2 cup sugar with davinci syrup
