About the pumpkin - I use Libby's canned pumpkin that is probably located next to the baking items in the grocery store. Make sure to read the label carefully so that you pick up the 100% pure pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling, which is also made by Libby's and looks a lot like the pie filling, which has sugar in it. Here is the recipe for what I eat:

In a bowl, I mix 1/2 of a can of pumpkin (which is .88 cups) with 2 ounces of cream cheese. I put this in the microwave for 45 seconds then take it out and stir well. I then add a few drops of liquid Splenda, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, and 2 teaspoons of allspice and stir. I am past rung 3 in OWL and eating up to 50 net carbs, so I also add 1 ounce of almonds, which is about 22 that I cut in half (so I can have 44 nuts ). I then put it back in the microwave for about 50 seconds, stir, and it is done. I find that the warmer it is, the better it tastes. And I really, really love this stuff. Beware, though! This concoction contains 15 net carbs. So anyone who doesn't want to use up that many carbs can leave out the nuts and/or cut back on portion sizes of the ingredients. (some people put less cream cheese than I do in it.) It is also has a high fat percentage since I use a lot of cream cheese, but I don't stress over that. This makes a lot, too, so you may not need to make this much. My husband always talked about how good it smells when I make it, so I made it for him one day. He couldn't finish it all because it is kinda rich. Cutting this in half would have been enough for him. I always finish mine.

      1. Yep, it's Induction-friendly.

      2. Allspice is a spice. It is in a bottle in the Spice section of the grocery store. I've backed off on the amount of Allspice I use now (down to 1 teaspoon). You don't have to use Allspice, though. I've heard different variations... some people even add coconut (that would be Rung 3). If you can find some Pumpkin Pie Spice (also in a bottle in the Spice Section), that would work well.

        Me, again

Here is some info on Allspice:

        Allspice, Ground

Allspice is a cured, unripe berry from a tropical evergreen tree. Allspice when ground releases aromatic notes reminiscent of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.

When I make this I use cinnamon, ground cloves and ground ginger -- those are the spices we use in pumpkin pie....I love this and have it quite often!!

              Re: MUP please!!!

I love the pumpkin/cream cheese dish also! I got my recipe from www.sugarfreesheila.com. I use cinnamon and a packet of splenda. Another great low carb website is www.livinlavidalowcarb.com. Jimmy Moore has a new book called 21 Life Lessons from Livin La Vida Low Carb I just received. It is almost 400 pages long and really informative! He has another thinner book he wrote in 2005. He has lost 180 lbs doing Atkins and has (along with wife Christine) you tube videos, a blog and forum.
