    Flax cereal is slimy.

I've never found a way to make it that it isn't slimy.

This is a recipe I think I found on ADBB, but can't find the original post. I just tried this recipe today, and really like it. I didn't think it was slimy, but tasted like Cream of Wheat. If you add some Mocha Splenda, it tastes like Cocoa Wheats. I also added a small pat of butter. It was a nice change from eggs and bacon.

        Hot Flax/Wheat Bran "cereal"

        1 tbsp flax meal
        2 tbsp unprocessed wheat bran
        1/4 tsp cinnamon
        1 packet Splenda
        pinch of salt
        Water

I grind the flax meal, wheat bran, cinnamon and Splenda together, place in a bowl and add enough water to make a thin mixture. Microwave for 45 seconds. Some people add cream and butter to this once it's cooked, but I prefer it "as is". It's also good flavored with Da Vinci SF flavored syrups in place of the Splenda.
