What is the best way to marinate Blade steaks prior to broiling or pan frying?

I haven't tried it, but on an episode of "America's Test Kitchen", they used soy sauce as the base for their steak tip marinades. It was something like 1/3 cup of soy plus whatever other flavorings they wanted.
The soy sauce, they claim, tenderizes the meat.
