I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep all these recipes I run across so that they are handy and I don't have to search and search. Right now, I'm just keeping them in a draft folder. How do you keep track of your recipes? I'm thinking I need to buy a new printer ribbon and print them all and organize in a binder...that being said-would it be best to organize by type i.e breakfast, main dish, veggies or by induction safe, OWL. What's everyone think???

Re: Recipe related question
I organize them according to meal type and food type: breakfast food, eggs and dairy, veggies, beef, pork, chicken, seafood.
If you want to keep the Induction recipes separate from the OWL recipes, just write something like
Beef Stew---OWL

Re: Recipe related question
I have an Access database on my laptop to which I save any interesting recipes I find online (over 600 and counting) as well as a paper notebook into which I have written the recipes I use a lot and keep in the kitchen.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: Recipe related question
I knew you had to have a super organized system Elizellen, because you are always helping members find things!!! I'm not super fluent with Access, but putting all these recipes in a database might help me become more proficient! Thank you!Julia 43F

Re: Recipe related question
My husband had gotten me a Betty Crocker Mastercook program for the computer awhile ago. I didnt use the recipes with the program that much but I put all my recipes in my own online cookbook. What I love about it is that it automatically calculates the carbs, calories and nutrients for all my own recipes automatically. If I substitute an ingredient I just go in and edit it and know immediately how the changes have affected the recipe nutritionally. It is also easy to play with old recipes to make them lo carb and see if they will fit the bill for this WOE.
