  • Cocktail Sauce?

I'm wanting some shrimp and would love a no carb cocktail sauce for dipping. I tried searching but didn't have any luck. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

Cocktail sauce is just ketchup and prepared horseradish. Buy some sugar free ketchup and horseradish and make you own. Keto makes a good s.f. ketchup. My husband bought me some Atkins ketchup recently, and I'm not crazy about it. Too BBQ sauce tasting.

I'm going to try making my own ketchup soon. This prepared stuff is really expensive, and I know I have a recipe for homemade ketchup in one of my books on canning. It's worth a try. I'll post my results when I'm finished.

Thanks. Where can you buy Keto products?

Most healthfood stores now carry Atkins friendly products. KETO is one of the bigger brands, so it's not too hard to find. If you live in one of those places that things like this are hard to come by, then try looking online. There are loads of online merchants pedaling low carb foods now. I've gotten lots of great stuff on the web.

        Good luck!

Thanks. The tough thing is that I did run across a Keto auction on Ebay and they were asking $4 for a box of macaroni and cheese. Compare'd to less than a dollar for Kraft, that's VERY expensive...

Not sure how ambitious of a cook you are, but I posted a recipe for sugar free ketchup on the "Other" recipe board. It's kind of involved, and I suspect since you didn't know how to make cocktail sauce that you might not be too into making your own ketchup. But I try to make no assumptions! Just lettin' ya know.

            Take care,
