Re: Induction friendly salsa?
I make my own salsa all the time, but you would have to figure out the carbs in fitday for the whole recipe (since I probably like different amounts of things than you do, as far as onions, garlic, peppers, etc.).
Here's how I usually make it:
1. In a food processor, combine the following ingredients (you may use different amounts as you see fit):
*10 roma tomatoes
*2 jalapeno peppers WITH seeds and membranes
*1" slice of onion
*4 cloves of garlic
*4 green onions
*1 cup of fresh cilantro
2. Add a pinch of salt (I use sea salt) and the juice of 1 lime or 1/2 a lime.
3. The salsa is best when it has a chance to "rest" for a few hours or overnight (so flavors can blend) but it can be eaten right away!
NUTRITION INFO FOR WHOLE BATCH
308 calories
4g fat
69g carbs
16g fiber
12g protein
53 NET CARBS FOR ENTIRE BATCH
I would say that one batch is about 6 cups. Let's say each serving is 1/4 cup. Per serving, the nutritional info would be:

Re: Induction friendly salsa?
Pace Chunky Salsa is induction friendly. You have to be careful how much you use, but 2 tablespoons has 2 carbs and less than 1 gram of fiber. I buy the hottest they make so I use less--get more bang for your carb buck.People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
