I grew up with the following Crazy Crust Pizza dough recipe. THe batter was similiar to a pancake batter that was poured into the pizza pan, bake and then covered with toppings and baked again. THe results was a thin (but not crispy) pizza that was eated mostly with a knife and fork.
Here is the recipe...
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning spices
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup milk
Pour into well greased pizza pan. Bake at 400 until dough is set (15-20 minutes). Remove and top with favorite ingredients and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
I was hoping to make this more Atkins friendly. Can I substitute soy flour cup for cup? Also, how interchangeable is cream for milk? Maybe I should thin it first with water?
What do you guys think. Pizza with lots of meat, vegetables and cheese with just a smear of tomatoe sauce?
Thanks for your help.
