Baja Bob's has a low carb Margarita mix that is delicious...
also a sour mix great for Tom Collins or Whiskey sour...

and at Albertsons Grocery Store (in Florida) I found a tomato vegetable juice that is 5 carbs for 8 ounces... Albertsons own brand...

so if you make a drink of 1 oz vodka and 4 oz juice it is only 2.5 carbs....
    mmmmm! :wave

Depends what phase of Atkins you are in. For example, tomato juice isn't allowed during Induction, neither is any alcoholic beverage.

Actually in the retails stores they are not e too xpensive...

but they tell you to put in way to much mix so it is sickly sweet ...I do half and half... and lots of ice and they are delcious!

Go to the website, they have a store locator if you want...just put in your zip code and it will tell you where you can buy it locally. BTW, if you do buy some, let us know your opinion of it please.

CadesMama, I'm not a big margarita fan so I haven't developed a low carb version, but, depending on what rung you're on, I think the carb countdown orange juice will give you fantastic results.

                      Here's the ingredients I'd use:

                      Ice
                      Tequila
                      CC orange juice
                      Fresh Lemon Juice
                      Fresh Lime Juice
                      Orange, lemon and lime zest
                      LC beverage syrup made with:
                      .....Splenda
.....Bulking ingredient such as maltitol or polydextrose
.....One or preferably two more sweeteners such as erythritol, ace k or a good brand of stevia.

It'll take some effort/hard to find ingredients, but I guarantee you it'll blow baja bob's out of the water. I have a pina colada recipe that's a major pain in the rear to make but it's a thousand times better than baja bobs.

The bulking agent is key for any frozen drink. Without it and the ice particles sink to the bottom.

Despite atkins.com recipes pushing frankenfoods I have found all of the recipes I have tried to be quite delicious.

Atkins.com does have some great recipes. As far as pushing frankenfood on their recipe section, I disagree. I have been making thier recipes for over a year and maybe 1 to 3 percent have anything that could be agued to be so-called, "frankenfood", which is a "franken-word", IMO
