  • Soy flour pancakes??

Well, almond flour seems to be elusive around here! Dang it! I want almond flour!!

Does anyone have a simple recipe for soy flour pancakes? I'm scouring the internet looking for an option.

Also, if you have any tips regarding soy flour, I'd love to hear them!! I'm just guessing soy flour is okay as I've read about some low carbers using it for cooking. It doesn't sound very exciting but I'm all ears (or eyes)!! Thanks!

    Re: Soy flour pancakes??

You can make almond flour by grinding almonds in a food processor or blender. It will be fresher, in fact, than the stuff in the bags.

Anyhow, soy is soy. Some people can detect a distinct "soy" or beany flavor in the final product. Others can't. So if you do use it, buy a small bag and make a test recipe.

Thanks, Megs!! I bought a $2 box of it. I was hoping if I bad mouthed soy, I'd wind up liking it!! LOL!!

Just finished breakfast! It was good!! I'm chugging water now to prevent a blockage from the flax!! I've never tried the sugar free pancake syrups. I did notice, however, it tasted much sweeter on my finger than when I used it on the pancakes!

I followed this recipe...always tweaking something, I added a little splenda, cinnamon and extra flax and olive oil.
