Well its been over a year now and I am currently on maintenance and still trying to adjust to the "new" ME. No major struggles to report, just livin' day to day.

    Re: Missing Baked Beans

That's a tough one. The recipes I've found call for black soy beans (I don't eat soy so I'm out of luck) instead of the traditional pinto or navy beans. Are you looking for the tomato sauce kind or (judging from your location) the molasses sauce kind (Boston baked beans type)?

ETA: Here are a couple of links that I saved with LC baked bean recipes. They may give you some ideas.

Thank you I will check them out. I will tell you however they have always been one of my trigger foods, will overeat them like crazy so maybe I should stay away from them all together, thanks for the info.

The link for the molasses sub in baked beans had a lot of interesting ideas. I don't know if any of them work though. I am way far away from goal right now but saved them for consideration some day.

I miss baked beans and Boston brown bread and baked beans with fish cakes. Peasant food at its finest. I'm pretty discriminating on my baked beans though and wonder if any low carb concoction would do.

Baked beans is one of the foods that I really don't know what is best once you reach Maintenance. I mean should you try to adjust to one of the LC creations or just have a little bit of the real stuff on rare occasions? Or never have the food again? I don't know the answer.

Thanks Mitzi for the response. I am pretty fussy that way too, I like homemade with lots of salt pork. For now I am going to stay far far away from them!!

No kidding, I was a few minutes outside of Boston a month or so ago and watched my friend eat fish and chips, beans, bread etc... while I sat there with my pathetic grilled chicken breast and mixed green salad
