    Re: Never ending induction recipes
    permalink

I got this recipe off the neverending induction thread..I made it tonight and it was really yummy but how would I figure out the carb content if I only ate two small pieces?? Thanks for any and all help!Mexican Casserole

    1 pound ground beef
    1/4 cup diced onion
    1/4 cup diced green pepper
    3 eggs
    1/3 cup mayo
    1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp chili powder (to taste)
    2 tbsp cumin
    1/2 tbsp oregano
    2 cups shredded cheese

Saute onions, green peppers and ground beef until beef is cooked through. Drain off fat. Add 1 tbsp chili powder and 1 tbsp cumin to meat mixture, stir thoroughly.

Butter casserole dish thoroughly. Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Place meat mixture in casserole dish and "flatten" gently with back of spoon so it all lays flat. (Don't pack it, just flatten it out a bit.)

Mix eggs, mayo, heavy cream and 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp cumin, 1/2 tbsp oregano in separate bowl until well mixed. Very gently pour this egg mixture over the ground beef, making sure to cover the edges too. Cover with aluminum foil or cover and bake for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10 minutes more.

Serve with a small amount of diced fresh tomatoes and lettuce strips.

Put the whole thing into NutritionData.com or a blank page in fitday.com. That will tell you the total number of carbs. Then divide by the number of servings (so if you ate 1/6 of it, divide by 6).

figure out how many total servings the same size as those small ones you had the entire recipe would make. then figure that as the total serving size

OR you can move your fitday forward a day input the ingredients and calculate the total recipe. then open another window of fitday and input the total recipe as a custom food. then when you eat say 1/8th of the pot you just put .125 which is the numeric value for 1/8th in the amount you had as your serving for the day you had it. so it would say

.125 yummy mexical dish ( or whatever you called it)

and then fitday would calculate for you.

look the veggies up as raw onion, raw sweet pepper unless you used a green spicey one.

it is easier to find the spices in the spice section then to input the name of the spice as that brings up everything that has that spice in the ingredients and/or title.
