Well real beef certainly tastes better than fillers, so that idea is right out .

There could be lots of reasons, how do you cook your home burgers? I know I can personally easily make a burger at home that is better than anything you get at a fast food joint... and the seasonings there usually amount to nothing more than your standard seasoning salt.

If you want a burger that tastes like a fast food burger just do this:

Go the the grocery store and buy inexpensive ground beef (80/20 works). Pat it into firm thin patties, then freeze the patties overnight. Take out the next day and fry over high heat while pressing down hard with a spatula on top to squeeze out the juices, toss on some seasoned salt before you flip it. Serve with whatever toppings you feel appropriate.

It won't be a particularly good burger, but it will be nearly identical to a fast food burger.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I did work at McDonald's for a period of time back when I was in HS, and I was constantly making burgers all day long. The burgers are generally much thinner than what you would make at home, and they are cooked 'clamshell' style, placed on a very hot metal slab and then another one comes down on top to apply preassure.

As BK mayo contains corn starch and sugar, how much would you assign as carbs?

I had my first 'bunless' XL whopper the other day. Not that BK was advertising a bunless product, I just needed some food so asked for an XL whopper without sauces/mayo, cheese, onion, tomato just lettuce. I had some seasoned egg mayo in a tuppaware container I'd taken out with me and slapped that between the burgers with the lettuce inbetween. Ate it with my fingers, blow the cutting up ;-) - charged me full price of though.

I have no idea on the carb count of BK mayo, but personally it has never caused me any problems.

hmmmm .... this is being cruel .... do I tell them? yes? no?

                ah ****, why not

there is a slight bit of truth mismanagement at play here

100% beef means 100% of that burger came from a cow

that DOES NOT mean, 100% meat!

get back here you coward!!!! lol, its not that bad, no horror stories coming up (well, not HORRIBLE horror stories anyway!)

they are juicy because they grind beef fat into them, a friend of mine that worked at Wendy's told me this, and I believe him

                slight spin on that premise:

ever have a big bar b que and say to yourself, self, we have to feed a lotta people, what we gonna do? Burgers made with cheap meat to the rescue, and lo and behold, they are a smash hit, oh they are so GOOD, so juicy!

and they are 75% meat burgers that was on sale for 1.29 a pound

This ringing a bell out there?

ah well, I better be on the lookout for a big redhead with huge feet lookin to put a Mc Hit out on me, I blew the whistle on the 100% Beef gimmick!

Dr. Ray lives by these words:

                Be Strong

Life is as good as YOU make it!

I tried one of the bunless double whoppers with cheese today. I was quite satisfied and it seemed like the bunless burgers are bigger than the ones made for the bun! anyway, it was definitely good.
