I agree that it was great, but I doubt that it is actually 1 carb.

          400 cal/32 g fat/5 g fiber/1 g net carbs

I looked several places and I think the information must be correct. I'm sure it isn't something you should eat every day. Especially since it uses an artifical sweetener. I'm going to have to try that cheesecake. Perhaps for a special dinner or something.. I think it has a total of 6 carbs but 4 or 5 are for fiber.

Here is a hidden carb calculator, plug in the #'s and it will calculate the "hidden carbs"...I got 88! and it said:
Unlisted source of carbs. Check for sugar alcohols or glycerine. Usually have negligible effect on blood glucose, but not for everyone.

The cheesecake has a lot of sugar alcohols, too.

According to that hidden carb calculator it sure does! 88 carbs worth!

Re: Ruby Tuesday's 1 Carb Cheesecake

unless they have changed the cheese cake they were getting it from a bakery called Atkins Eloquent Desserts, not associated with Atkins weight loss program and it had one of those notcounting sweetner blends in it. here is a copy of the lable from LOwcarbluxurary's newsletter. As you can see it has one of those counting noncounting sweetner blends in it and they relied on the maker to tell them how many carbs it had.

So Not2, what exactly does " notcounting sweetner blends " mean....they are saying they don't count? Or you are? How can they not count?

Today I stopped by there, and it looks like they no longer offer it! I still love their salad bar, but they've really skimmed down their low carb menu.

oops sorry MOG didn't see your question. they decided since the digestive tract grabs different size sugars in the same spot in places it can't grab both at the same time and their fore you would not digest their mixing of the sugar sizes which is hogwash cause you got 2o plus feet of intestine and the entire inner surface is lined with absorbing points billions of them now if you ate 5 pounds of the stuff you might not absorb it all but that small amount in the stuff?????
count all carbs not fiber is the only safe way to go.

Yes I went there in July and was bummed to find out they had taken their mashed cauliflower and low carb cheese cake off the menu. Even their fish was not up to par.

It's pretty much a moot point considering it's no longer for sale, but as of September '05, Ruby Tuesday's Cheesecake has been sweetened with sucralose, ACE-K, erythritol and maltitol. Now... the maltitol I may count 100%, but the erythritol is a different story. I wouldn't subtract it completely, but I'd certainly subtract a large part of it, knowing what I know about the path it travels through the body (which 2big taught me quite a while ago )

LOL Scott when they first introduced it it was one of those proprietory blends and they took a lot of grief over it Glad they changed to those others
