  • Texas Roadhouse

We ate there this past weekend. I had the Oven Roasted Chicken and it was soooo good! According to the waiter who was on Atkins it is slow roasted and basted with natural chicken broth, butter and garlic. If so it was the most savory, luscious low carb item I've eaten yet in a restaurant. Passed on their tasty rolls and just had the chicken and a salad minus croutons and eggs (too stinky for a salad for me). My keto stick was still pink the next morning and I lost the usual .5 lb that day.

yum, my fav place to eat. I have never had the chicken I ge the beef kebobs withthe veggie kebobs, with salad and the brocc cauli and carrot with melted cheese for the veggie. I do not do the rice that comes with it obviously. But all there cuts of beef are great.

I have tasted most of them . I will have to try the chicken...

Thanks for the feedback on that restaurant. We have a Texas Roadhouse that just opened or is getting ready to open here. Nice to have a new restaurant that I know I can eat well at.

Atkid, if you can get in..lol

Ours has been in for over a year, and it is 2 hr or more wait at most times we try. We hit it lucky once and awhile on a saturday at 2ish for late lunch early dinner.

That's how the Outback Steakhouse is here, its always a very long wait for a table. If you get there after 4pm you better be prepared to wait. But its so worth it!

Yip, sure is worth it.. They have call ahead seating, for what that is worth; it works sometimes, others not so good.

I hear ya, have gotten used to eating earlier now (5 or so on Fridays and Saturdays) since Katrina, most restaurant here either don't have enough staff (still, which I think is ridiculous) so they carry odd hours, or just have not completely made it back up yet. So everyone is waiting to get in everywhere. Any chance they do "call ahead" lists?

texasroadhouse does do call ahead seating. Up this neck of the woods they are not too accurate with it. But the service is there.

I love Texas Roadhouse! They don't open for lunch here through the week though and I never get there during dinner hours.

Yeah, the one that just opened up by us is crazy busy almost ALL the time. There's a line out front when they open at 4PM!

Their ribs are great...hold the sauce! MMmmm...think I'll go to Longhorn tonight for some ribs...they have the best!

Oh yeah, I love Texas Roadhouse... their steak is just amazing... they even serve peanuts on the table before the meal. I like having a few instead of mawing down on their rolls. They make all their food fresh within the restaurant (even the salad dressing) and I can really taste the difference... it's nice too that so many of their meals are meat-based so I have some real options when I get dinner there.

Eh, I ended up at Longhorn and had a side caesar salad and this chicken with cheese and bacon on it, I had the BBQ sauce on the side and only dipped twice... LOL! I also had a side of nice fresh veggies...was dang good! I like Longhorn...it's kind of spendy though..
