I'd use this link and check out the nutritional info before you try it. Better to be safe than sorry!

I've stopped in McDonalds occasionally too and had a double cheeseburger without the bun. Their website also has a calculator that you can customize your food, like seeing what the counts are on a burger without the bun and ketchup, and you know exactly what you're eating.

    Hope this helps.

Googled it and they supposedly came out in 2003 with a total of 3 net carbs. Hummmm! Has anyone tried them? I tried a real Hardees burger a few years ago and the meat was gross (bone fragment crunch ewwww!) so I never went back.

I eat the LowCarb burger on a regular basis!!! (just get it without ketchup, one cause I dont like it and two cause most have sugar in them).

whats on it- lettuce for the wrap. the burger. slice of cheese. tomato. onion. pickle. mustard. mayo. and the fore mentioned ketchup.

I LOVE them. love love love. If Im out and about for work, one ends up being my lunch almost everytime.

make sure yours is not usint the $6 burger pickles on your thick burger. the meat has a soy based seasonionbg so I can't eat it but if you skip the ketchup ( it isn't low carb they just use less on the low carb burger) you should be fine. remember that is a huge hunk of meat so only eat enough to satisfy your hunger and you might do better with the kids burger minus the bun and ketchup and a side salad

Today I had the 1/3 thickburger...I couldn't break it down on the site to see what I actually had which annoys me! I had the 1/3 thickburger minus the bun, ketchup...it only had onion and mustard on it. I think I 'm good! But if anyone knows more, lemme know please!

You're right - they dont give you the option of removing the bun or ketchup from their snazzy calculations!!
I did find a page where you can send them a question here
              http://www.hardees.com/info/contact/
Why not fill their form in and ask for the nutrition of what you actually ate?
Maybe you can also suggest they improve the 'load your tray' section to help people like us who are not going to eat the bun?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I too eat there from time to time. I am a lettuce, onion, mayo guy with lots of pepper. They say the patties are 100% beef. Skip the HFCS-filled ketchup, and you should be fine.

Thanks guys! I sent them a mesage with my dilema and they are "suppose" to get back in touch with me on my info! Seems petty to some but when your watching what goes in your body, its not petty at all.

                    Good for you, Aimee

I still do the same when deciding whether to eat at a new outlet, or buy a new food.

This week I had to contact a UK manufacturer about the nutrition info of the steak & kidney pudding my husband had eaten while we were out for lunch.

The chef had been happy to let me read the label on the box the food came in, but though it gave a list of ingredients which looked OK (my DH is on maintenance eating) it didnt have the numbers to enter into fitday to log the food, so I had to phone the manufacturer to ask them.

The girl in their customer services office seemed surprised (I dont think they had been asked before!) but phoned me back within 5 minutes with all the info I needed.

As the pudding had over 70 carbs in one serving I dont think I shall order it for myself in the near future!!

Maybe I can work out a lowcarb recipe for suet pastry some time!?!

I'm glad you had a good experience and that they were so kind. Your DH had to be shocked about them carbs? I know I would have been!

                            Re: Hardees'

                            Hi Everybody,

Megs (Not2late) asked that I post here. I wasn't sure if I should start a new post or not. But anyway, several years ago (about 5) I worked for Hardee's parttime on the weekends. I was responsible for loading and unloading trucks. Sometimes between waiting for trucks I was stacking materials in the freezers. I took time to read the ingredients on some of the boxes and discovered some pretty amazing things. Here is what I know.

                            1. The eggs that use (they used to be fresh, crack open eggs) they come in a big bag of liquid now, have some type of starch added to them, to make them 'fluffier' without having to beat them. Probably not enough to worry us, however that isn't the big problem. They use this stuff 'Liquid Margarine' a mixture of butter, margarine, cornoil, and canola oil it is full of trans fat...and believe me they slop that stuff on the grill when they make those pretty little folded eggs.

                            2. Bacon. The bacon they use on the burgers is 100% bacon and cooked in the ovens, that's good. What's bad is, the breakfast bowls they serve..someone said they're low carb, but I never remember them being marketed that way, have a mixture of real bacon, and baco's, baco's of course being made out of modified corn starch, vegetable protein and artificial flavoring and color, and sugar. Not very good for you. You can request the breakfast bowl without the bacon crumbles and ask them to substitute real bacon, whether they do it or not...that's the mystery. (sorry to burst any bubbles here)

                            3. The Low Carb Burger. I'm just like the next guy or girl, sometimes you need something quick, we live in society of cell phones, microwaves, hurry hurry and you gotta have something quick. Anyway...on the box it states this, 100% Angus Beef/Modified Starches/Soybased Seasonings. When I asked about this, the Rep basically said, we never said the burger was 100% Anugus Beef, the beef used in the burger is 100% Angus beef with fillers, every fast food restaurants use fillers in their burgers except Steak & Shake.
This was kind of an eye opener. Now, that being said, yes they are delicious, and a 1000 times better for us than a real bun burger. When you order it, you have to tell them NO KETCHUP I've seen them slather those things with ketchup which of course makes it no longer low carb. You don't even want to go there...personally I think the ketchup is just sugar, water and food coloring, oh yes....and maybe hint of tomato! haha..

                            4. Someone referred to eating their chicken strips...they are definately a no-no. They come breaded, as do the porkchops, the chicken breasts.

                            5. They have a breakfast ham too, and canadian bacon, both are shipped in a curing solution of sugar and artificial flavorings as well.

Well anyway, I really am sorry to shed this light. I only did as I was asked too! I still do have the low carb burger occasionally. It hasn't hurt me or stalled me in anyway...oh yes, something else, someone mentioned earlier on in this post NO SIX DOLLAR BURGER, the pickles that they use are sweet pickles, those come from a separate bucket than the pickles used on the low carb burger, you still might want to make sure they use the right ones...once again, if they run short of one, they substitute with the other. Good Luck to everybody!

Thanks so much for verifying this for me... I must have completely missed this forum when I was browsing for a place to post!

... Anyway... That #4... Is me! I learnt the other day that the chicken strips have 45 GRAMS OF CARBS! I used to eat them thinking they were OK! I also found out that the Southwest Chicken salad (With NO taco shell) Is still 26 grams! Oh my!

Thanks again for shedding us the light on Hardee's,
