    Popeye's

    My husband and I went to Popeye's chicken restaurant this weekend and they have something new called Naked Chicken.

    They have a special that comes with green beans. But we asked the women taking our order if we could get the special (11 pieces for $9.00) as naked chicken and she said we could get any chicken meal as naked chicken!

    It is fried with no breading and they put seasoning on it.

    The only catch is that it takes 12minutes for them to make it because it they make it to order so that the chicken does not dry out.

          I love Popeyes deep fried turkeys, they are so good. Our family likes them alot, this year we are trying the local wing store that does deep fried turkeys for thanksgiving. We are going to my uncle's house this year and he getting a Popeyes turkey this year.

              Good for Popeyes. I went there this past weekend in Phoenix. I love their chicken and it is definitely worth the 12 minute wait for them to cook it. I wish we had Popeyes in SLC. But, we only have KFC. Dang

                  Yea, we only have KFC and Bojangles and neither one of them has been smart enough to come up w/ a low carb chicken option yet (as far as I know anyway) I know KFC came out with their "rotisserie" chicken, but turns out its still got a flour coating on it! :sarcasm

                      I just had naked chicken for dinner this evening, there is one right on the AFB, so it makes for easy meals when I have to stick around at the school late.

                      The Green-beans they serve up on the side are pretty darn good too, and kudos to Popeye's for having a combo price that includes a low-carb side and water.

                                  I went to a Popeye's yesterday and they no longer do the naked chicken. I hope to try it someday. I hope they aren't getting rid of it.
