    Hi everyone

I'm going on holiday to Florida this week for two weeks. I'll be eating out most nights, so would love to hear of any restaurants that offer low carb options. I live in Ireland, and lo-carb is not big over here.

I know what to avoid on standard menus, but it would be great to go to a restaurant that has the carb count listed as a guide.

    Thanks everyone

    Re: Orlando

There are sooooooooo many restaurants in Orlando, you'll be overwhelmed. There are seafood all you can eat buffets. Stick with the seafood (no sauces) and vegetables. Yum. There are churrascara restaurants where people walk around with big roasts of meat and carve it off for you. Those would be great. There are plenty of steak restaurants. You shouldn't have a problem. You don't need a low-carb menu, just stick with grilled meats and steamed vegetables or salads.

      Re: Orlando

      Hi Joy
Thanks for that. Also, wanted to say that you look amazing. Great before and after photos. I peeked at your journal before and you've been an inspiration for me. I'm more or less you age (35) and also 5'10. Got about 40lbs to loose. When I can get into a pair of white jeans I'll post my pic too!

One question - whats a churrascura restaurant? Is it a chain of restaurants or a type of cuisine?

        Re: Orlando

It's a type of restaurant. Brazilian I think. They'll have different names over in Orlando, but call themselves Brazilian Churrascara. If you check out your hotel's dining guide, or the yellow pages, you'll see them.

Hereis one http://www.10best.com/Orlando/Restau...sinessID=66754 It's called Texas de Brazil

Boston Lobster Feast is one of the all you can eat seafood buffets.

There are restaurants just everywhere. The resorts usually have a lot of restaurants too. The last two times I've been in orlando, I've stayed at the Gaylord Palms, and they have 3 restaurants that are very good.
