If I were trying a new restaurant, I would call and ask them if they sserved low carb or asked about their menu. Its worth a try

I have been to the melting pot a couple times before doing the LC thing. The cheese fondue contains some starch I believe, but you could always ask them to leave it out. The secret beer I believe is PBR, at least in the Philly Metro area, so, not too many carbs from how much they put in. Obviously you have to avoid the obviously flour heavy starches, the starchy veggies they offer (perhaps you can request more good veggies and less or no bread and potatoes?) and the dessert fondue, but hey, I agree, contact them and see what they can do, their customer service is generally top notch.

Danger zone in the Melting Pot -- chocolate and strawberries -- be prepared!

And may I just say to NulloModo that you look fantastic? *whistles* If I weren't on the other side of the planet, you would be in serious trouble! Props to you!

Get the meat fondue, then you don't have to worry about starches and beer! They have lots of dipping sauces that you will want to ask about what's in them, but they have things like hollandaise and bernaise that might just be o.k. Get the mushroom salad that comes with it, its delicious!
