  • Applebee's steaks

Well tomorrow night my mom and I plan to go to applebbes and I already know I want a steak and then just eat salad with it on the side. Which steak is the best on to get, like the one without any extra spices/sugars/sauces I can't have on induction? and which salad dressing is good?
    well thanks

I've never had steak at Applebees, but you might want to stay away from the ones that are marinated (might have sugars). I wonder if they have any "grilled" steaks? Sorry I can't be more helpful...good luck!

This is an excerp from one of Meg's post on restaurants. It is a warning about Applebee's steaks.

      Hey Gang!
I have been "stalled" for about 2 weeks, not a change, none, zip, zilch, nadda!
SO yesterday I sat down and reexamined what I have been eating...the only thing that stuck out at me, was that in the past 2 weeks, things have been really busy and we have been eating out a lot. we have gone to applebees's. I have the same thing...salad dry, and a house sirloin with blue chees on it. Probably about 4 times wekk for the last 2 weeks, they are so good, I would order and extra to go and have it for breakfast the next day.

SO I get online at Applebees.com and look to see if there is something in those steaks that woulde be stalling me. Now I am thinking, unless there is some small amount of sugar inthe seasoning the steaks should be a no brainer. Well the web site says no nutritional info available.

I called corporate Applebees, and they tell me that I need to call the local restraunt to ask them to look on the box of staeks for the ingredents. I call the local resturant, and they go look. Not only is sugar the 2nd ingredent ( beef being the first ) but they are injected with a dextrose solution too!!! I am so angry!!! angry at myself for blindly thinking that a steak is a stek...and applebees for shootingit full of sugar!!!

Are all of the steaks injected? or only the marinated ones? Hmmm...

According to Miss Ree (post #14) in this thread http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...applebees.html some are 'safe'
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

              Re: Applebee's steaks

Everything at Applebee's has sugar--yes, even roasted asparagus and grilled veggies. There is nothing safe there.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
