    McDonald's Eggs

Hello everyone! I haven't posted in forever! Question: I normally have a side of eggs and two sides of bacon for breakfast. For some reason I am hungry3 to 4 hours later. Do they put anything in their scrambled eggs (ie flour)?

You may want to email them and ask! I have heard that IHOP puts pancake batter in theirs! so it is very possible that they do put something in them.

you can go to the McDonalds site and check your eggs ingredients or anything else you are having. Eggs and bacon and hungry 3-4 hours later sounds more like your total foods for the day then just that meal issue. it isn't lack of protein as that hunger is felt 1 hour later.

Do you eat when you feel hungry and you have determined that it isn't thirst brain signals spilling over into hunger brain signal area by drinking soewm water and waiting 30 min to see? Remember on Atkins we feed our hunger so if you are hungry you need to eat.

This is what's in the scrambled eggs:
        Scrambled Eggs (2):
Pasteurized whole eggs with sodium pyrophosphate, citric acid, monosodium phosphate — all added to preserve color, nisin.

But these 2 eggs apparently have 5 total carbs...doesn't add up, imo...

MoG, Low Carb Living Magazine has an article about the IHOP omelettes. They said the pancake batter is added to make the omelette "fluffier".

Its good to know, if i ever go to IHOP I will get my eggs over easy! That way they can't sneak anything into them!

thanks for all the helpful info.......don't see anything in the eggs that would cause the hunger - maybe like you said......check to make sure it's not something else, like thirst! Will try and let you all know. Thanks for all the support and quick responses! Love Ya''ll! :hug :hug :hug

you can ask IHOP to only put eggs in your omlette and they wil as they have become aware of low carbers since we busted them for those hidden carbs.

Did you happen to examine all the egg options on the McDonalds list tell them you want the eggMcMufin eggs and not the scrambled eggs as that has just egg. the also list just eggs further down wonder if you could get those eggs in your scrambled eggs and not the pasturized egg mix.

I worked at Mcdonalds 10 years ago and it was real eggs that you cracked and mixed and then the only thing they did was put butter on the grill and cook them, we never used a mix

                      Re: McDonald's Eggs

The round eggs are real. The scrambled or "flat yellow egg" is out of a carton. I worked there years ago.

                        Re: McDonald's Eggs

I just wanted to say that I worked at mcd's for 6 years and we did do special orders. There was a guy who would always come in and get his eggs scrambled made with the real eggs. He said the other did not taste like real eggs. Depending on the restaurant some people may be able to get the same thing. The customer got what they ordered. Just order it and see what happens. The round eggs (mcmuffin eggs) are real though. They are cooked in butter.

This is the second time trying Atkins and hopefully this time it will be a permanent life change for me.

                          Re: McDonald's Eggs

                          Fair warning........

The breakfast burritos and the scrambled eggs ARE NOT real egg. It is powdered egg mixed with water.

You can however get a COMPLETELY ATKIN legal breakfast if your in a rush by ordering:

1 REAL egg used on the mcmuffin.
bacon, canadian bacon, or sausage (it sucks)
                          and cheese.

Cost is roughly $2.50-$3.50 and is so much better than the crappy fake egg breakfast.

Just curious but what does putting pancake mix in your eggs do?
I mean does it make them fluffier ( is that a word LOL) or what?
