  • Ethnic food restaurants...choices??

    Okay, this is the story...
My hubby loves Ethnic foods...well, particulary Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese/Sushi...

I always feel guilty telling him no we can't go there because they have nothing for me...the chinese restaurant already told me they will no do special orders and that they soak their meats in stuff that has sugar and cornstarch in it.

So on a typical menu for most ethnic restaurants (i live in Alaska) what would you order??

Thanks for any advice and ideas in advance..

Sushi is not a good idea because it comes with rice. Sashimi should be okay.

For Mexican food, you could order fajitas (no tortillas). And a salad maybe, but check what's in it and tell them to leave out the ingredients you can't eat. Avoid dressings too---you can bring your own, like the kind they sell in individual packets.

You can not eat in a Chinese restaurant. They put sugar in all of the sauces.
