If you have the will power to sit and pick all the breading off you can have KFC chicken...personally, I wouldn't put myself in that situation.

Why don't you just make some homemade fried chicken using parmesean cheese for the breading--its delicious and you won't be putting yourself in a very tempting situation!

They use flour in their breading for one. Flour is a big ol' no-no :nono I really think you need to make your own and forget about KFC, you can't eat the coating there anyway...period!

          Re: kfc

I love KFC chicken too and have had it once while on Atkins.

Even after I spent 3 minutes on each peice picking off all the coating, there were still lil bits that were so stuck to the meat I couldn't get off without throwing out the meat. At the end I ended up eating a very very small portion of the coating that I couldn't get off.

The chicken was good but at the end of it, the disapointment of having consumed useless carbs (didn't even get to taste the coating!) that maybe added up to 2g at the most, still made the rest of the day crappy because I felt a lil defeated.

The next day I bought a big value-pack of chicken drumsticks and baked them myself and put them in the fridge for 3 days worth of snacking (hubby helped lol) and no guilt.

Your better off mentally, and physically just to bake your own.
