Yes! I saw the special on our local news station and was like "WoW!" All this time, I've avoided Mexican food because I love fajitas and couldn't possibly think of ordering the fajita platter and not eating the rice, beans, flours and chips/dips.

Now, the fajitas are cooked over vegetables (squash/zuchinni) and the flour tortillas are substitued with lettuce wraps. Plus an average frozen margarita has 60-70 carbs, they now have a new frozen margarita that has 1 1/2 carbs!!!

Plus there's a major chain BBQ here called Colters that has an Atkins meal in their menu choices!! Hip Hip Hooray!!

I saw that too, last nite. I want to try them out. Its nice to see many resturants having atkins menus for us. I heard that Burger street might street having low carb burgers with lettuce, no kethup and no bun.

I was in a Don Pablos in Indianapolis last week, and I noticed the low-carb alternatives too.

I've been to Don Pablos in Memphis, Columbus, Cincinnati and Indy, and their service has been consistently good.

I was very highly disappointed with Don Pablo's low carb fajitas!!!!!

The price was terrible! $13.99. I expected something better!

The quality was o.k but the portion was SUPER small for that price. You'd think it should have been $5.99 instead!

They serve you 5 SMALL chicken fajita strips over a SMALL portion of veggies (yellow squash, zuchinni, mushrooms, and cut asparagus). You get a SMALL scoop of sour cream, some shredded cheese, 3 pieces of iceberg lettuce to wrap the fajitas and dipping sauce.

I had to ask for additional lettuce wraps, plus when I got home I ate again because it wasn't very filling.

Ya know, instead of serving the rice and beans, they gave veggies, but I was disappointed to not see the Grilled Onions, Grilled green bell peppers, Pico de Gallo and Guacamole! (which are all allowed on the Atkins)

          A waste of money.

I also thought the price was high. I wasn't to impressed by the sides/dressing - I want peppers & onions ya know. Asparagus - yuck! In addition, the carb count didn't look so great. 18 gms for the low carb chicken. Their "South Beach Sauce" must drive up the carb count. I didn't order from their low carb menu. I went ahead and ordered the regular fajitas and asked that they replace the beans & rice with guacamole. They brought alot of the guac which I shared with my husband.

I ate the fajitas strips, peppers & onions, & toppings with a fork - minding portion control on the p&o & toppings. When the waiter realized later what I was doing he told me about the low carb menu items & I told him that the menu item didn't really appeal to me. He told me that next time if I want the regular type with the peppers & onions, that I can ask to substitute the tortillas with lettuce wraps. So, that is what I will do.

It is hard to resist the chips & salsa! But, I did it!

:speechle: I am so glad that you guys brought up Don Pablos. I just love Don P's. I did see the low carb menu, but the portion size is very tiny. I am glad that the other poster mentioned that I could order the regular fajitas and just substitute the wraps. Good. That other stuff looks a mess. What are fajitas without the green peppers and onions? ena

Yeah, I ordered the low-carb fajitas but was extremely disappointed. The meat wasn't sizzling - it was barely warm and didn't taste that good. The lettuce wasn't useable as a wrap and I ended up leaving the restaraunt feeling ripped off.
