:laughing
I visited IKEA for the first time yesterday and felt like a total tourist. Okay, we've lived near one for more than 6 months and I'd never gone in; I had this idea that they were expensive. My husband and kids had some time to kill Sunday and went to a different IKEA store...even hubby liked it.
But I had no clue they had a restaurant! It was about lunchtime yesterday when I discovered this fact. They had several salads; the one I got had salmon - not glazed either - on top of mixed salad greens served with dollops of sour cream on the side. Tomato wedges and a few cucumbers, the barest slivers of carrot that I just picked out. Not like your typical carrot-ful restaurant salad mixes. They also had a "California Salad" with other seafood - shrimp, mussels - instead of the salmon. I just don't like cold mussels or I might have tried that instead. I also noticed a small open-face shrimp and egg sandwich, which would have been just fine without the bread. You can also get a plain garden salad; they had a ranch dressing available that had one carb/2T.
My daughter had the kids' pasta for 99 cents.
I mixed lots of Tabasco with my sour cream and was able to use it very sparingly. It was GOOD. Woke up this morning and the half a pound that has been coming and going for the past two weeks (AARGH) was gone along with two more pounds.
I don't think the hour spent walking around hurt any
But the Atkins-Friendly lunch is a sufficient excuse to go back!
