  • grilled cabbage wedges

    They were really yummy! Just quarter a cabbage around the heart, slide a few dabs of butter through them, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and wrap each wedge in foil. I grilled mine on med/low for 40 minutes, turning regularly. I forgot to turn one and it charred a little, but I liked that one even better!

    this sounds so yummy. I love cabbage and cant believe I havent ever thought to grill it! This is on the menu for tonight. Have you tried red or green cabbage with this??

        I made mine with green cabbage... OMG so yummy. I love cabbage and this hit the spot for sure. Its on tonights menu too!

            we eat cabbage twice a week here, usually cut up, fried with bacon, salt and pepper. Unfortunately our son hates it! I wonder if trying it this way would make a difference, thanks for the idea!

              I love cabbage, That a great suggestion. I wonder if you could slip a slice of bacon in there how that would taste

                Desertthorn.... I was thinking the same exact thing! If its good without bacon, its gotta be better with! (I love atkins. lmfao)

                  Cabbage... yummmmm!

                  Coleslaw Italian Style:

                  Shred green cabbage ultra fine. Add sliced tomatoes (not overripe, kind of greeney red). Add a few chopped up anchovies... the kind that come in oil. Dress with extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar and salt. Rub garlic over the fork prongs you use to toss the cabbage... this adds just a hint of garlic aroma without it being too strong.
