This is so simple. I was cooking one night and my bacon and onions were burned, with no reserved to start over. Anyone that has had my green beans love them and think they are fresh from the garden and cooked just like gramma use to make.
GREEN BEANS
1/2 cup chopped onion
5 slices of bacon cut up
2 cans of green beans
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine the onion and bacon in large pan. Brown until bacon is almost burned. Do not drain. Add only the juice of the green beans to the pan with drippings and cook on high for five minutes. This is taking the burned items and cleaning the bottom of the pan. Add green beans after five minutes. Boil for another five minutes, reduce heat to med-low and cover pan for 45-60 minutes. Check on beans to make sure there is fluid still in the pan.
