  • Ridiculously simple hamburger dip

Ok, you may have already had this recipe on here. A few Michigan people have given it to me as their favorite Atkins dip for an appetizer, or party. I think this is right. If not, let me know.

2 pounds ground beef browned with taco seasoning, or make your own if there are carb fillers in the one from the store. Do the water and simmer the spices like on the taco seasoning pack directions. Add 8 oz. of cream cheese and one jar of your favorite salsa, or make 8-12 oz. fresh, heat and serve with pork rinds or your favorite Atkins friendly cracker.

When I saw this the first time I thought it looked absolutely gross, but they were enjoying it so much that I tried it and it is deceptively yummy.

I haven't seen it before. Looks yummy but anything with a southwest flavor is great in my book.

Thanks, I'll try this today. I wouldn't have thought to put cream cheese in it. I haven't been able to find a sugar free taco seasoning yet, but I've cut up canned green chili peppers and mixed with burger.

Hey Babs. If you go to Linda's Low carb recipes, she's got a taco seasoning recipe there that's really good.

Miss Phode, Thanks so much. I was just looking at her yummy turkey recipe too. It's like recipe heaven there!
