Just right now I was REALLY craving something sweet and I opened up my panty door....My will-power told me not to eat the cream-filled oatmeal cookies sitting on my second shelf and the caramel brownie ice cream in my freezer.... So I decided to get creative and invent my own low-carb midnight snack. In my pantry I found some unsweetened Ghiradelli cocoa powder that my mom had used to make cookies last Christmas and sitting right next to it there was a box of Splenda. The light bulb above my head lit up and I decided to do something to conquer my cravings!! So here's what I did, and the outcome was surprisingly very satisfying!!:
I whipped up about 2 tablespoons of margarine (The "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter kind...) with about 5 packets of Splenda . Then I poured in about 3 Tablespoons of the Ghiradelli unsweetened cocoa powder and just a splash of Half and Half (or milk if you want)....I whipped this all together and it turned into a frosting-like mixture. Then I got a few sticks of celery and spread Skippy's Low carb peanut butter onto it the celery sticks and put my newly invented chocolate frosting mixture on top of that! Yum...
