    Hi

Just need to know if Flax meal is the same as Golden Linseed Meal?

I have just seen the recipe for flax meal muffins, and i cant remember seeing flax meal in Tescos, so i looked it up on the net and linseed meal popped up.

      Yes it's the same.

There is a good UK brand, Linwoods, whose milled flax is pretty widely available here in health food stores. They also do a milled flax with milled sunflower and pumpkin seeds, which is pretty useful once you reach the right rung (nuts and seeds). It can replace flax in any recipes that call for it and is a LOT tastier.

          Re: Flax meal Muffins

          Hi all

Well i made the muffins today, and they were ok, i only put half a tsp of splenda in as im not that keen on the taste, (i think splenda has an odd taste!). Anyway they were more of a savoury muffin, so i sliced it up and spread cream cheese on it, which was very nice.

          This is legal right??

Im on the veggie rung, moving onto the next rung at the weekend though.
