  • Cold Crab Dip - Induction Safe

This is a recipe I have had for years. Not quite sure where I got it, but its good.

    2 - 8oz cream cheese
    2 green onions chopped
    2 tbsp prepared horseradish
2 - 6oz cans crab meat or 12oz fresh lump crab meat

Soften the cream cheese alittle, then chop the green onions. Then mix it all together really well. Thats it.

    32 Servings

    FAT 5G
    CHOLESTEROL 25MG
    SODIUM 80MG
    CARB 0.6 G
    DIETARY FIBER 0.1 G
    PROTEIN 3.3 G

This is really good with the flax crackers (equal ground flax w/ equal water) and also is good with the cheddar cheese chips.

That looks really good, I think I will try making it by a 1/2 recipe cause I'd probably ended up wolfing half of it down myself.

Yes that is a really good idea. I will try cutting back mine next time. Its really good too. I hope you like it. One thing that came to mind when I was looking in my recipe box is that it has horseradish in it, and I think I read somewhere on here that that is a dieretic (sp?) and cause a whoosie. Not sure, but its good to eat anyhow.

Most prepared horseradish contains sour cream. But I suppose that is included in the carb count. Is there recipe for the cheddar crackers on here? Or are we talking store-bought?

Horseradish in a jar (like Kelchner's) that you buy at the grocery stores has sour cream in it?

I just looked online at the stuff I use and it's by Kelchner's and it doens't have sour cream added. Its just shreading in a jar.

Ah..the wording was "PREPARED" some that are called prepared are cut with sour cream to decrease some of the intensity. I tend to buy just pure horseradish..I like the kick!

Please let me know what kind you buy. I think mine is pure horseradish but I eat it almost everyday and don't get that woosh. Maybe what you buy may be better. Do you have the brand name?

I don't blame you, I like that too. I should try it with fresh. I love this stuff so much. Be careful as it can be addicting. Oh, I wanted to mention that the recipe calls for 2 - 6oz can of crab meat, but I always buy the fresh lump crab meat, I think it tastes better like that. But its good just the same with the canned crab meat.
