  • Strawberry Milkshake

I don't know who I love more...George Stella or Linda's Lowcarb website. I could kiss them both for making this so easy for me

Last night I tried George Stella's Strawberry Milkshake and it was DELISH! I can say honestly that I'll never miss icecream again. Remember this isn't an induction friendly recipe since it includes strawberries (OWL Rung 3)

    1 cup ice
    1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup frozen strawberries (don't thaw)
    1/2 teaspoon sugar-free vanilla extract
sugar substitute to taste (I use sweet n low, George recommends Splenda)

Put all ingredients in a blender/food processor until smooth. Serve immediately. I highly recommend his book and his show on the Food Fetwork. His website has a ton of recipes.

    4 servings, 8oz each - 4.5 net carbs

    Re: Strawberry Milkshake

Thanks Nichole. That looks like a wonderful recipe. I have copied it down. I love strawberries. I was wondering the other day if I should splurge on some sugarfree ice cream. But that really look a lot healthier - far fewer additives.

I never checked out Stella. Guess I will now.

It's a must to check out his recipes. Some of them I've had to adapt to fit into what rung I'm on. I've been pleasantly surprised by the taste of his recipes. Here is another one of his that I'm trying this week:
