  • bacon wrapped waterchestnut

Had this snack last night and it was great

took 4 waterchestnuts and pierced them with a fork ( so they don't blow up in microwave). Wrappped each with a half a slice a bake.
nuked them for about 2 minutes turing once.
dipped in Hidden vallley BBQ ranch dressing (1.5 carbs per T dressing)

As tasty as this sounds, water chestnuts are actually shockingly high in carbs - they have one carb per chestnut. So enjoy this yummy recipe after Induction and count your carbs.

        Yeah, it's really that high.

Are you sure water chestnuts are on the current OK list on Induction? One cup of them has 19.64 carb grams with 3.95 grabs fiber.

water chestnuts don't have much flavor, I bet you could do the same thing with jicama or diakon. fitday has water chestnuts at 2.5 carbs each. Your recipe sounds delicious, but l love anything wrapped in bacon, even chicken livers.
