  • Supplements Confusion

    Ok, so I have a question about the supplements I need to take to kill yeast:

    I know I need Oil of Oregano to kill the yeast. Do I wait until it's dead to use the Acidophilus? How long does that take - how will I know if it's all dead?

    When do I take the garlic?

    Is anyone else taking any other Atkins supplements like B Complex, Vitamin C or Flax Seed Oil with the yeast stuff?

    Please let me know... thanks!

    okay slow down You will get the best answers in the Candida yeast health forum as those folk posting in there are the tried and try folk.

    You want to take the Acidophilus which is the healthy bacteria for your intestines along with your treatment for the yeast issue cause you want to replace the yeast with the good stuff ASAP to help control the yeast issue faster.

    Garlic is another natural antifungal. You can just eat some with your foods but count your carbs and get the same beneficial effects at a much lower cost.

            Thanks! That does help. I'm not sure what Caprylic acid is though.

            Currently I'm doing:
            Morning:
            Low-Carb Balance Vitamins
            OoO
            Psyllium Husk Seeds
            Omega-3
            Stress-B
            Vitamin-C (while I'm sick anyway)

            Afternoon:
            Acidophilus
            Psyllium Husk Seeds

            Evening:
            OoO
            Psyllium Husk Seeds
            Omega-3
            Stress-B
            Vitamin-C (while I'm sick anyway)

            But I just feel like I'm taking so many pills, I'm worried I'm taking too much! But those are the doses on the bottles.

              I wouldn't worry about taking "too much". I would worry about taking not enough. You need to be aggressive to kick this stuff. I'm taking so much in addition to what I take daily that I feel like a pill factory. But I'm gonna kick this!


              I'm also following the KISS plan leaning toward the Gold Standard. I hope it helps. It's a huge change for me!
