  • need some menu planning help!!

    Hi all!

    I'm new to the forum, but not to Atkins or DANDR. This is my third time getting back into this WOE.

    I've learned that I am intolerant of all milk products (except butter), all wheat products, pork products, and eggs.

    I've also learned that my optimum carb level for losing weight is about 35g per day. Less than that, and I don't lose; more than that, and I lose but very slowly the higher the level of carb goes, until there's no loss and I start gaining.

    I'm also one of the lucky ones who needs to be mindful of caloric intake -- I'm not hypothyroid, but the weight just doesn't want to come off. I am currently exploring whether I might have some candida infestation (!!) -- will take my first spit test tomorrow morning. I don't have the usual symptoms for it, that I do know.

    So ---- I need some menu planning help!! Specifically, I really need help with breakfasts. I currently make a ground nuts and seeds cereal with some added protein powder. One serving is 18 carb less 9 fiber for Net Carb of 9, protein 44g, and fat 43g. I usually drink tea, sometimes decaf coffee w/ a little unsweetened soymilk in it.

    I have wracked my brains for something different for breakfast!! The only thing I can come up with is what I have for lunch and dinner -- meat in some form, and salad with lemon/olve oil dressing or steamed/stir-fried veggies.

    Anyone have any other suggestions??

      Then I did a google search, and found a very interesting site: http://www.mealsforyou.com/cgi-bin/advancedSearch

      You can customize quite closely your dietary desires/restrictions.
