  • My Battle Against the Yeasties!

I started 3 weeks ago today on Sep 26. I'm into my 4th week. I haven't noticed much weight loss, but I feel a lot better and some of the bloating is gone.

I think I'm doing the Gold Standard, or maybe more extreme. I don't have anything aged, fermented or processed. Because of time constraints, I do have leftovers but I try to finish them within 2-3 days. Beyond that, I throw them out.

I don't eat mushrooms, cheese, cream cheese, mayo, mustard or ketchup. My salad dressing consists of extra virgin olive oil and lemon or lime juice. I don't use pepper and I changed to using sea salt. During the week I drink around a gallon of water a day. Weekends are harder but I get at least half of that. I dropped my morning coffee and instead, I have decaf green tea. I have not had anything to drink besides water and green tea since starting this.

I have not been exercising, but tonight I'm going to the gym and see if my foot will tolerate a 2 mile walk. I'm going for distance instead of speed right now. If my foot does ok, I'll push myself harder.

Besides all my normal daily supplements, I take candida cleanse pills (it runs out this week, don't know if I'm getting more), mornings I take Oil of Oregano, Caprylic Acid, Garlic and Apple Cidar Vinegar pills. Midday, I take 2 Acidipholis and Apple Cidar Vinegar (I think). Before bed, I take Oil of Oregano, Caprylic Acid, Garlic and Apple Cidar Vinegar pills (just like morning). <whew>

Am I missing anything? I'm planning to do this for 6 weeks (total) then test again. If I'm still positive, I will continue. If I'm negative (I hope), is it a good idea to incorporate Acidipholis as one of my daily supplements?

    I hope this works!

Re: My Battle Against the Yeasties!

In 6 weeks, I have lost 10 lbs and a bloated stomach At the 4 week mark, I did another spit test and my saliva stayed on top. No strange legs! I am slowly incorporating other foods in my diet that I couldn't have. So far, no real problems. I'm continuing with the supplements because I want to finish them (they cost alot and don't want to waste them).

I'm so grateful for this site and for Becky Sue for all the information and knowledge that she has. It has helped me tremendously!! I'm looking forward to steady losses (as long as there is no cheating, of course!).

For those questioning, it does work. Make the committment and get yourself well and on the road to a smaller, healthier YOU!

      Hi Debbie,
I am so happy for you! Sounds like you worked the KISS/Gold Standard WOE. It is working for you, just don't add the problem foods back to quickly. Add one food at a time and really watch your bodys response. If you don't see problems with it, then try another, so you can figure the ones that cause you problems.
If I can help you, give me a hollar!!

Hi Debbie, I haven't quite been following your progress, so please excuse me for asking you this question again if you've been asked before, but I was wondering, how many calories are you averaging each day?

          Thanks Becky Sue!

Tickle, according to my BMR, I'm suppose to keep my calories around 1350, and just under 1500 when exercising.

good for you! it is so amazing the joy folk feel when they finally figure it out and fix the yeasties. I know they have been culled but you should have seen the joy in BeckySue's posts when finnally she figured out it was yeast and got it corrected.

2Big, absolutely! I wonder how many people would be struggling with this stuff if it hadn't been for Becky Sue's tenacity and research. Most people would say "Ok, this one isn't working either" and give up. I probably would have been one of those.

I owe a lot to Becky Sue and so do many people on this board. The knowledge here still astounds me.
