I tested positive for the spit test.

I have read the stickies and post here and chapter 25 in DANDAR. However, I'm unsure of what to do. Can someone please spell it out for me step by step?

    I.E
    STEPS:
    1. Follow KISS Rules for food intake
    2. Pro-Biotics (take daily? how much?)
    3. Take any other supplements? (daily? amount?)
    4. Do Spit test 1 week later?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the link to the KISS diet.

    KISS diet

As far as pro-biotics and other supplements, everyone is a little different in how they approach that. You can spend a lot (ie. last month, I spent close to $200 on supplements) or minimal, ~ $20.

You can always start with some sort of Yeast Cleansing product. There are all types on the market and with varying success.

Some people swear by Oil of Oregano, garlic, ect.

If you have DANDR, there's a chapter on yeast issues...I think it's chapter 25.

Dr. Atkins also has a book called, Vita Nutrients. In it, he describes all the supplements you can take to fight it, some he gives high priority, others lower priority. He also goes into how much and how often you should take the supplements & WHY. If you don't have that book, I highly recommend it! Either buy it, borrow from the library, or browse through it at your local bookstore.

If you're taking a lot of supplements, it is wise to learn all you can about them. Just taking supplements blindly for a cure is foolish. You should have a firm command of what it is that you're taking. Since it would take a long time to type everything out, I highly recommend the Vita Nutrients book. Knowing why you're taking something is so helpful, especially if you're taking a lot of them!

I wouldn't do the spit test for awhile. I've been on the Gold Standard diet for 2 weeks now. I tested this morning & it's still positive. You can test as often as you want, but the yeast battle is lengthy. Some have results in 6 weeks, others continue for months, years, or a lifetime.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!

    Good luck!
