  • Getting Sick....

Okay I was wondering...I am really sick, LIke I have the flu. It's not the induction flu, I've been doing it for months now.

I did just start doing KISS and taking my probiotic, correctly this time, so could it be Candida related? I am hoping that maybe the yeasties are dying off, and doing this?!? I just don't know.

What symptoms do you experience when your yeasties are dying, and could this be one of them?

Thanks I still feel horrible, but at least I can snuggle up to DH now and not worry about getting him sick!!

That and I am so glad they are finally leaving. So, what does this mean now? Am I "cured"? That's where I get confused w/ the whole Candida thing.

it means the balance is being shifted back in favor of the good gut bacteria as you kill off yeasties more room in your gut is being occupied by the good stuff like it should be till the next time youtake some antibiotics and they get killed off and the yeassties expand their territory. Happy low carbing

            Re: Getting Sick....

Okay cool! I am allergic to amoxocillin and pennicilin (sp) so when I got to the DRs they try not to put me on them at all. I don't think I have had any antibiotics in a while.....

You know what?!?!?!?!!?! I just figured it out! When I was pregnant, I had to have erythromycin b/c I have a mitral valve prolapse and to prevent my heart from getting anytype of bacteria in it, I had to be on it. I bet that's what did it...but that was a year ago. I just randomly took did the spit test and I failed That's the only way I know I had it!!

              Re: Getting Sick....

What it tells me when you say you are allergic to certain antibiotics that you possibly have taken a bunch of it awhile back and developed an allergy to a certain one. this would be my story.
when I was a child I was given lots of antibiotics for bladder infections. Eventually the infections were caused by the antibiotics, but the Dr.'s continued to prescribe different antibiotic when I would become allergic to the antibiotic.
does this sound like your story?
The infections I was having was YEAST infections and the Dr.'s didn't figure it out until I went to a specialist in Amarillo, texas. I was 16 by then and had suffered very much, due to being misdiagnosed all those years.

I have allergic reactions to pennicillon, sulfa, streptamycin, and teramycin. All because I was given to much of them when I was young.

My fight with yeast will be an on going fight.

                Re: Getting Sick....

I wish I knew. I just remember being young and being sick and then getting dizzy and I woke up in the ER. They told me I was allergic to penecillin, and tried amoxo, and I was allergic to that. I don't know what I was given it for or for how long, unfortunately.

I wish I knew more, it surely would help!!! LOL. I don't speak w/ my Mother (long story short ) and I have no way of finding out.

Thanks Becky Sue for reading and replying

                  Re: Getting Sick....

I feel so much better now! After about 5 days on anti candida diet I had a TERRIBLE day, felt like I had the flu really bad. I had sore joints all over, and I was tired and just wanted to lay down. Usually i am up and ready to go quickly. But, then I remembered "die off", and sure enough, I was back to feeling good the next day. Two weeks in now, and ready for the long haul!
