  • To treat or not to treat?

I decided to take the test, just to be sure... and got a "tentacle" within 3 minutes of spitting in a glass of water.

I never thought yeast of as a problem, however, unless one had discomforts such as I used to have after eating lots of sugar when not on Atkins. But since weight loss has gotten too sluggish for where I think it should be, I'm having second thoughts...

How reliable is the test... should I repeat it a few days... is there an additional test I should do to see if I really have a yeast problem... wouldn't MOST people test positive on the spit test? Isn't candida normal in most people? Etc.

I love cheese; if I did KISS would I have to stay on it to stop yeast from coming back?
If I've got no symptoms besides the test & slowed loss, should I make the supreme sacrifice of doing KISS??

It's a "spit test" for yeast...(seems there's several posts about it). I found out about it from fit4me&kids, and she seems to be making progress again since eliminating the problem.

          Hi Boonie,

I wouldn't rely on a spit test as a positive test for candida. I had it diagnosed through a blood test. Good luck finding a doctor who will help, most seem to believe the syndrome either doesn't exist, or they won't believe you have candida unless you have a "standard" woman's yeast infection w/ odor & discharge.
