  • Candita question

I did the spit test and got the spidery, cloudy junk.

My question is: I get those red, smelly sores under my stomach at the crease, etc. and I treat it with a cream prescribed from the Dr. It is getting more difficult to clear up.

Does anyone know if this is caused because of Candita?

I had a Dr. appointment a few months ago and asked the P.A. about it. She said to dry it real well and use a blow dryer. Well I do and I still get it.

If it isn't from Candita, what is it?

What would a Dr. prescribe for Candita? ( I have great insurance and it covers prescriptions.)

there are yeasts and bacteria of all kinds living on our skin and yes those sores that the PS told you to dry are from yeast. It could be a different variety then candida though. I real cheap way to control extrernal body sores for a sweaty area is to use a strong anti dandruff shampoo as a body wash after you have cleared it up use it once a week to kill the spores on your body and you should be able to stay free of them on Atkins.

I suffered HORIIBLY with a rash under my breast for years. I swear, the cream the doc gives can make it worse if used alone.

here's what i did for relief:

wash gently with SPECTRA JEL (soapless wash) do NOT use perfumes or powders.

dry gently with a blow dryer........

put on a thin layer 1/2 and 1/2 2% hyrdocortizone cream and either a prescribed cream or canisten cream.

I ONLY wore cotton bras, and washed them in hot water and bleach. Sometimes if the rash was really bad and I didn't have time for a shower or wash cloth, I would dust with Gold Bond's medicated powder.

You can use the same method anywhere..... but, after I started this WOL, the syptoms actually got a lot worse before they started getting better. The rash is completely gone 100% cured after about 2.5 months.

You can use Oil of Oregano drops. It's a powerful antiseptic & as it also kills candida it's ideal for this.

you sound like you have what i have its called tinea versicolor.
its a fungus.my dermatologist told me to buy (without a presciption) Selsun shampoo.Theres different kinds so be careful. Its says right under the heading.treatment for dandruff, seborrhea and tinea versicolor.DONT follow the directions on the bottle.you can actually burn your skin. And be careful NOT to get any of it in the crease under your breasts.Just put it on the effected part of your body.leave 10-15 minutes then rinse off.I do it for 7 -14 days till it disappears. But it always comes back.I think i have a candida problem.anyways.I usually apply lots of talc/baby powder after i put and rinse off the salsun (salsun blue shampoo). Also when i wake up,after i shower and if im sweating alot.
          good luck! :hug

            THANK YOU

I am saving this so I can try everything, not at the same time of course!
I know Neosporin stopped working as well as the stuff the Dr. prescribed.
