  • Need some help with yeast treatment :)

Hi, I am new to the forum and am glad to have found it. There seems to be so much information I can't retain it all. I was looking for some help with yeast. I started induction 5 weeks ago. The first week I lost 9 lbs. Since that time I have lost nothing. I eat eggs in the morning chicken and romain lettuce at lunch and ground meat at dinner. I don't drink softdrinks. I usually drink (water/iced tea unsweet)and sometimes have a slice of cheese for snack. I have successfully done atkins in the past. Hurricane Katrina set me back. I have fanatically read the book and followed the rules. I did the spit test and it immediately had a long stream to the bottom of the glass and sunk to the bottom in less than 3 minutes. I ordered some OoO. I have been taking 3 caplets, 3 times a day 50mg A.D.P. I am wondering if anyone knows if this is enough? Thanks for your help and good luck to everyone. I am glad I found you.

    Hi Ragark!

Sorry you're having yeast issues, but it is beatable.

To answer your question about whether your supplements are enough is a difficult question to answer. Everyone responds to treatment differently. For some, Oil of Oregano is enough. Others also add Olive leaf extract, caprylic acid capsules, vitamin C (1-3 grams worth), pantethine, beneficial bacteria, FOS, Pau d' arco, etc.

If supplements are helping, then going on a much stricter diet is in order. No mushrooms, cheese, anything fermented, no vineagar (so no mayo, mustard, pickles, etc), no yeast products, and with the exception of salt, no spices or other seasonings. It is a very strict diet, but not everyone needs to do it.

So you see, what will work for you may not work for someone else. I had to go on the strict diet, along with many supplements, before I was able to beat the yeast. I have since added back many of my favorite foods, but slowly.

    Good luck!

      biogeek,

Thanks so much for your support and response. Since my post I have weighed myself and have lost 4 additional pounds. Since OoO is suppose to serve many purposes, I am going to reassess after six weeks to see if my sinus and weight are where I would like them to be.
