  • Marin's Candida Kill- Starts 1/3/05

    Anybody want to join?

    Here are the rules I'm going by, and am willing to kick your butt about as well. If you want to sign up, say so below.

    1. No sugar. At all. I will post the diet I'll be following (basically the KISS diet).
    2. No cheating AT ALL for six weeks.
    3. No weighing more than once per week.
    4. You MUST measure yourself (specs to be defined) once per week.
    5. 100 oz. of water per day
    6. At least 20 minutes of aerobic exercise 3x/week
    7. Supplements: a good multi and a cleanse and a renew (atkins is the formula I'll use for the cleanse/renew)
    8. Bragg's ACV (1 tbs) 3 x /day
    9. At least 30 minutes of strength training 2x/week
    10. Check in with progress at least 2x/week
    11. Comply for six weeks then re-spit-test.

    So, who's up for the big challenge?

      I'm intersted, but I have a question. Since I don't belong to a gym and use my exercise ball every day with different muscle groups, upper, middle or lower body, and the whole routien only takes about 15 minutes, have I disqualified myself?

          Don't forget a good probiotic acidolphilus, garlic tablets, detox tea and oil of oregano to REALLY attack the candida situation. And nothing fermented, like soy sauce, mushrooms and especially nothing with distilled vinegar. You don't want to feed :eating the :yeasties". They MUST die!! :guns

            Hey guys- finally got electric back!!

            Da Wal- you're in, girl. If you feel that's enough, I'll defer to your success as proof enough. Thanks for asking

            We start the 3rd- that gives you about a week to get all the stuff you'll need!

            Missy is right- I have already gotten Bragg's ACV, I need to find teh amino acids! In preparation, I have taken off a week from Atkins (going back on regular induction on Monday the 27th) and while I'm off I've been eating a LOT of raisin bran and apple cider to kind of cleanse my bowel a bit before jumping back on the wagon again.

            The Atkins AM/PM system has a pro-biotic and a candida kill. I'm going to start with it and add in bragg's ACV three times a day (am, noon, night).

              Hey guys- I"m sick and have to put off The Kill for about three weeks (I think I may end up on antibiotics if this worsens). 1/24/05 and we're back on. If you guys are starting tomorrow, let me know! I'd still love to kick your booties for ya

                I'm on for today. My bootie awaits your kicking when necessary.........

                I made a list of acceptable foods that I like to eat and made 50 copies at work yesterday. I'll have one for each day's menu, plus a few extras.... I made up today's menu last night, plugged it into Fitday to be sure of percentages, and pulled the ground beef out of the freezer last night. I've had 1 Tbl. of ACV and a drop of OoO this AM. Also filled my water bottles for today. I'll be doing my exercise shortly, then on to breakfast.

                Who else is in????? Let's go!! The sooner we start, the sooner we see results :yes <so far, no bootie kicking needed>

                      Geez I can't wait!! I am gonna start on Monday, Jan. 24 but can't wait! I already said that! You go girl!! Any bad/weird symptoms going on?

                        I had some abdominal cramping and diarrhea for the first two days. Slight headache on day two also (I don't get headaches....). My energy was down for the first three days.

                        By Thurs. (day 4), all of that changed..... I'm 'zippy' now :joy

                          week 1 results

                          Today marks the start of week 2 for me. I've been doing re-induction and following an anti-candida diet (I've done each of these separately, but this is the first time I've done 'em together).

                          I've lost a total of 8# and 2.75" (1.5" in my hips alone!!!). I'm thrilled! :joy This FAR exceeds my expectations!
