I posted this in the main forum but I am posting here too as I am hoping to get more replies. In one of my other posts someone suggested candida may be a problem for me. I began researching on this site as well as the internet in general and it was a lightbulb moment so to speak. I believe I have been stalling despite cutting alot of things out. One thing that I haven't cut back on is dairy - its what I use to comfort myself seeing that I've cut out so many other things... In additon to the "stalling" I also have a recurrent rash on my hands, mostly the underside of my wrists that definitely gets irritated when it is hot and humid (which it is here right now). The doctor prescribed me an ointment with NYASTATIN but never told me anything about fungus, yeast etc... I am not sure if I have other symptoms - they are kind of vague. But I'd like to try to further tweak my diet with this in mind. I cannot possibly endure a KISS diet just yet, I know myself well enough. Here are the things I understand I should avoid - cheese (but cream cheese and mozzerella are ok?) what about heavy cream? protein mix? (zero carb kind) parmasean cheese? bleu cheese? or are JUST those two ok? mushrooms, olives, pepperoncini (bc of vinegar) Anything else I missed? Thanks again for your help.
PS - my son had a milk protein allergy that lasted till he was 3 years old - could he have gotten that from me? But he isn't allergic anymore
