  • Solution for Constipation; Bad Breath?

    Couple of quick questions...
    1. Can I use psyllium Husks for regularity on the Anti Candida Diet?

    2. With the bad breath associated with Ketosis, what can be used for that with sugar free gum and breath mints being out??
    Is there anything??

    3. Also, my mouth wash contains Alcohol, as I assume most do. Even though I don't swallow it, can I still coninue using mouth wash?

Psyllium is great for candida...as for the gum and mints.....I use Chlorophyll liguid(Chlorofresh: Natures Way puts it out.) that I swish and swallow.....gets rid of even garlic breath. You can find it in the health food stores. it works wonders and is good for you.

      My suggestions:

You can take extra vitamin C to help with constipation. I take 9000 milligrams per day in three 3000 milligram doses, and I don't need the psyllium husks anymore, plus, it's a GREAT way to be sure you're getting plenty C. You may need less, so ramp up 1000 milligrams per day until you reach 'bowel tolerance'.

If you are drinking enough water, I find ketosis breath is not a problem, but I may be unusual in that. Be sure you are drinking lots of water, and you may find that you don't have the breath anymore.

True, drinking more water does help to tame the bad breath. However, if you feel you still need something for it, go with Missy's suggestion. There are also parsley seed oil pills out there (made by Breath Assure... if you happen to get the mint, wash the coating off, since it contains sugar or you can squeeze the oil out into a glass of water). Psyllium husks are natural and allowed on CAD.
