  • Chynna does CAD....again!

I've been feeling pretty "down in the dumps" lately. I'm unenergetic, unmotivated and just feel plain old wore out! So, I did the spit test again (as well as having other signs of candida) and it came out positive. I also weighed myself yesterday, and I haven't lost any since my last weigh-in 2 wks ago. So, it's back to whole foods again!

I will be starting my cleanse again on Monday. I just hope this will be the last time I have to do so!

Thanks for the support, Missy. :hug However, I didn't get to start today, as planned. I had a busy day, with house guests, so I decided to put this off for tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to doing the "whole approach" thing again. It did wonders for me in the weight-loss area as well as inches lost! :yes So, I'm hoping to see a good outcome in those areas again. That would be a great bonus! :dancingb:

OK, starting CAD this time around is alot more difficult than I thought! Turns out that I got a nasal infection with a touch of bronchitis. I had to start antibiotics :yikes and have other medication that clashes with doing CAD, or Atkins, for that matter! But, I guess I need it to get better.

This Winter has been hard on me. I had the flu for almost 4 months and now here I am with a nasal infection! UGH!

So, putting CAD on hold until the antibiotics are done and this darn cold is gone! :anger :raving

Now that I am over my sinus infection and bronchitis, I can now start CAD again! :icondance

I am excited to start and kick off my weight-loss again! I am hoping to be able to hit my first mini-goal by entering Onederland and then my second mini-goal to reach of 180 for the end-of-February challenge (although I might not reach it, it will be motivation enough to work at it! :yes )

So glad to hear you are doing better....I was reading where yeast affects the sinus and also creates asthma that my sister is dealing with. That's how I came across this information.

                  This is what I found:

Once through to the rest of the body, the candida begins its task of cell decomposition, as like all fungi, its role in life is to decompose cell material for recycling. It can live anywhere there are mucous membranes - it particularly likes the vagina, lungs and the sinuses, providing food for bacteria and viruses. It also has an ability to disrupt the endocrine system causing symptoms such as PMS, menstrual irregularities, joint pains, asthma, hayfever, muscle fatigue and chronic tiredness. Candida is heavily implicated in the development of M.E. or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Some of the most obvious symptoms of candida overgrowth are thrush, cystitis and fungal infections of the skin or nails. Often these are treated by local medication only to recur time and time again. These symptoms should be taken seriously because if the candida is not properly treated, then the more serious problems listed above, could easily follow.

Take care and keep us posted on your progress!!!

Thanks for the info, Missy! I read something similar to that during my first cleansing. Besides having the sinus infection, I had other symptoms (headaches, stomach cramps, etc.) that pretty much made me aware that I had yet another candida overgrowth.

Well, I quit doing CAD about 2 weeks ago. Things got way too hectic around here (Winter illnesses and such) and doing CAD was the last thing on my mind. I didn't lose anything, but managed to rid myself of the candida. So, I am officially stalled.... or this was a case of carb creep. Honestly, I have no idea. lol Running after a sick child for about 4 weeks fogged my thinking and I admit I did not eat right. Nope, no cheating, just not eating at the right times or stopping when satisfied.

Now that everything is back to normal (well, I am a bit sick myself now, but nothing serious), it's back to business.

I have some questions. If you have a yeast infection (vaginal) Should you visit your doctor or only begin the cleanse? Do you use a vaginal cream with your cleanse? Could you feel better only with the cleanse?.

When I started my second cleansing, I did have a vaginal infection. I used a cream and did the diet and it was gone within a few days. You could also get one of those kits for vaginal infection and use that while doing CAD. Doing the diet and taking the proper supplements works. So if you have a candida problem I suggest you try the diet for at least 6wks.

                          Good Luck!
