Please help me find a homepathic cure for a yeast infection

Almost two weeks ago, I got very sick with an upper respiratory infection. I ended up getting 2 shots in my butt of Rocephin 1Gram each, got 1 shot of steroids, and then took a full prescription of Omnicef, also an antibiotic. This was all within 1 week. Well, my Upper Respiratory infection is alot better, but I ended up with a vaginal yeast infection. Im not sure what to do since I want to try and treat it homeopathically. Please help. By the way, is this the same "yeast" that is always addressed here on the forum of is a vaginal yeast infection different?

Okay, you guys are not gonna believe this but I havent taken anything for the yeast infection. I starved it. Yeast feeds on sugars and cheese/dairy products. Usually im miserable when I get one. Lord knows I should be miserable this time around after receiving so much antibiotic. Who knew life could be so good lol.

Hi, newbie from down under here. To ease and assist in the area you are talking about, here is what I used to do . Dont have that problem any more ..... thank goodness.
Get yourself some natural yogurt and insert into the vagina. Now go and purchase some natural acidophilus and bifodacterium, the strongest available. This will put the good bacteria back in and "reset" what should be a natural balance in your system. PS also helps to fight bacteria to keep you healthy. I take these a few times a week when Im feeling a bit run down. keep the acidophilus cool in the fridge. It is a live bacteria. Health food stores should be able to assist here. hope this helps

Interestingly enough, I was researching candida cures a while back and low carb ala' Atkins was mentioned as one of the best ways of controlling it. Makes sense, when you have basically cut out sugar, starch-which turns into sugar as it breaks down in the body and yeasted products, which are also said to feed the critters.

Another tip for quick relief, and don't be scared, it doesn't hurt/sting/etc like I TOO thought it would. Get some APPLE CIDER VINEGAR mix it in a measuring cup with some water and sit on the edge of the tub and pour it over yourself..... instantly relieves any itchy uncomfortable-ness!!

I don't know if it's Atkins friendly but Grapefruit Seed Extract will kill anything. I resorted to using it after 4 rounds of antibiotics would not kill a strep infection (www.pureliquidgold.com). Just a warning...it's so bitter I had to mix it with juice. I have also mixed it in diet soda with a packet of Splenda.

Artificial sweeteners containing aspartame are to be avoided. Google dangers of aspartame and see what comes up. I was shocked. Sodas are very bad for you ...diet or regular. When I cut out sodas I lost weight right away and also felt so much better.
