    Re: Spit test question

I did the spit test this morning. I found this link helpful in reading my test.
What is Candida - The Test

I do have a candida over growth. I just took the test and scored 334.

I also found another link about the candida diet with an allowable foods list. One would need to weed out the non allowed foods depending on where you are at on the ladder.
    The Candida Diet Part II

I will be checking out the KISS next.

      Re: Spit test question

I'm a little confused. I took the spit test yesterday morning and sure enough... it looked like a jellyfish with tentacles racing off of it. I then got to work and took the questionaire test and scored in the upper 200s. I have been on this woe for 7 weeks and have only lost about 7 pounds. Needless to say, I was kind of glad to find that I think I finally found what might be causing the slow loss. I stopped by Whole Foods last night and bought some of the recommended supplies. I bought Oil of Oregano, Probiotics, Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, garlic capsules, and Yogi Detox tea. I was so pumped to start with KISS and my supplements this morning! I took another spit test this morning just because I was fasinated on how quick the 'legs' developed that I wanted to see it again. Well to my surprise I had nothing! No legs, no cloudy spit, no nothing! It all just stayed up on top looking as clear as possible. What the heck is going on? Do I have an overgrowth of yeast or not? I'm so confused. Please tell me what you all think? I took all the stuff I bought this morning anyway, but I'm wondering if it's just a waste of time and money.

        Re: Spit test question

All of the things you bought are beneficial, regardless of a yeast overgrowth or not, so I think it's money well spent.

Make sure that when you take the spit test, it is BEFORE you've consumed any food or beverages, and BEFORE you've brushed your teeth. Try it again tomorrow and see what happens. How long were you letting the spit sit for? I think you're required to wait a few minutes, sometimes it's not an immediate reaction.

          Re: Spit test question

Thank you for your response Julirama. I have been taking all the stuff I bought regardless. Tomorrow morning I will try the spit test again... I guess I have one test showing I do have yeast and another showing I don't so a third one will be the deciding factor. The first test I took (the one that came up positive for yeast) I watched it for just a few minutes, but only because it seemed like the 'legs' developed within 2 minutes or so.... the 2nd test (which came up neg for yeast) sat there for half an hour and nothing. I'll let you know what the 3rd test shows.

ha ha ha ha ha!!! thanks for the tip julie!!! i think it is my past history of having to hear guys proudly hock up their luggies to spit wherever they spit.........and that whole noise/sound/whatever of spitting is GEE-ROSS to me! it takes great strength for me to do the spit test. really. or maybe i just have an advanced gag reflex. ugh!
